GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bryan School of Business and Economics has announced its 2007-08 Teaching Excellence Awards.
Dr. Nir Kshetri, assistant professor of marketing, received the award for non-tenured faculty. Dr. William Harden, assistant professor of accounting received the award for tenured faculty.
Both received a $1,000 stipend. Funding for the awards is provided by the University of North Carolina General Administration which allocates money for all 17 campuses in the UNC system to reward faculty members for excellence in teaching within their academic collages and professional schools.
Kshetri joined the Bryan School in 2003. Originally from Nepal, he holds graduate degrees in mathematics, economics, an MBA, and a PhD in business administration from the University of Rhode Island.
Harden received a PhD in accounting and taxation from the University of Kentucky and joined the UNCG faculty in 1998. His research interests include tax and managerial accounting.
The Bryan School is the largest of UNCG’s six professional schools with 450 graduate students and 2,100 undergraduates. It is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and is among the top 10 percent of business schools nationwide that have earned accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels in both business and accounting.
