Margaret Maron
She’s a North Carolina native and an award-winning mystery writer.
UNCG’s Jackson Library will host Margaret Maron at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 for the first of its 2005-06 season of events. She will sign books after the reading in Elliott University Center Auditorium.
Maron’s works have been translated into seven languages and nominated for every major award in the American mystery field. Her book “Bootlegger's Daughter” won the Edgar Allan Poe Award, the Anthony Award for Best Mystery Novel of 1992, the Agatha Award for Best Traditional Novel, and the Macavity for Best Novel. She is president of Mystery Writers of America.
