Students enjoy Fall Kickoff near the statue of founder Charles McIver.
The 20th annual Fall Kickoff carnival will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, to mark the start of classes at UNCG.
UNCG student organizations, administrative offices and local businesses will set up approximately 100 exhibition booths and activities. A variety of free entertainment will be featured. All events will be along College Avenue.
At the booths, area business representatives will give away free merchandise and student leaders will pass out information on campus organizations.

The Office of Student Life will also distribute copies of the 2005-06 UNCG Student Calendar/Handbook.
Fall Kickoff carnival, sponsored by the Office of Student Life and the Campus Activities Board, opens the academic year and acquaints students with activities and services available on campus. Rain date will be Tuesday Aug. 16.
